Hetty van Gurp is a lifelong activist and educator who served over three decades as a classroom teacher, principal, and resource teacher. In 1991, following a personal family tragedy as a result of a bullying incident, Hetty then made it her life mission to make schools a safer place for everyone.
She is the founder of Peaceful Schools International, a non profit organization that is committed to helping schools develop a culture of peace both locally and internationally. Hetty has worked with educators in post conflict areas including Cambodia, Serbia, Macedonia, and Northern Ireland.
